Are you looking for a hands-on role within the IT industry?Concept are recruiting for a Software Installation Technician to join a leading IT services company, working with bespoke Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team where you will be responsible for installing software and assisting with hardware configuration for major UK supermarket chains.

• Install software on various types of EPOS equipment and associated peripherals according to customer specifications.
• Work alongside a team of experienced technicians in a workshop environment, with occasional support for hardware configurations, builds, and testing.
• Handle hardware, routers, networks, switches, and hubs.
• Perform general workshop duties, including loading and unloading equipment for distribution.
• Assist with unit testing and quality control.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Enthusiastic and driven individuals with a keen interest in IT.
• Experience with software installation, particularly on EPOS systems, is desirable but not essential.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude with experience maintaining computer hardware, routers, and networks is advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on role, including lifting, bending, and kneeling.
• Ability to use basic tools such as screwdrivers and drills.
• A team player with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Ability to pass vetting checks, including criminal and financial background checks.
