About the Job -

As a Solar Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design and development of commercial rooftop solar solutions. You will play a crucial role in creating electrical system designs, supporting the sales team with technical expertise and improving processes to ensure compliance with current regulations and industry standards. This opportunity involves managing projects from concept to construction, performing feasibility assessments and contributing to product development within a fast paced and dynamic environment.

• You’ll be responsible for developing AC and DC electrical system designs for commercial rooftop PC systems and creating concepts for final connections to existing electrical infrastructure.
• You’ll produce technical drawings and project documentation as well as perform yield modelling using tools like PVSyst for project optimization.
• You’ll be responsible for conducting site surveys to evaluate feasibility and pre-construction requirements as well contributing to product development by researching industry trends and identifying innovative solutions.
• You’ll be responsible for providing technical expertise to the sales team during client meetings and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

About you -

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in electrical design within the commercial sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD of equivalent design software for atleast 3+ years.
• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field is advantageous
• Experienced in the solar PV sector, including DC electrical design and familiarity with energy yield modelling tools such as PVSyst of PVSol.
