We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Solicitor to join our client’s team in the East Anglia region. The ideal Family Law Solicitor will have a strong background in family law, including divorce, child custody, adoption, and domestic violence cases. This role requires excellent negotiation, mediation, and courtroom advocacy skills to represent clients effectively.Our client has a really strong support team so this is the ideal role for someone that enjoys that client interaction and craves the support of an internal team to help them be at their best in their role. You will have the flexibility and diversity to work with different offices and a range of clients to make your role varied and exciting where you get the chance to have a true impact on what could make all the difference in someone’s life. So if you are ready for something new, this could be worth you exploring. As the Family Law Solicitor you will be responsible for:
- Client Representation: Representing the clients in court for family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and domestic violence cases.
- Legal Advice: Providing comprehensive legal advice to clients on family law issues, ensuring they understand their rights and obligations.
- Case Management: Manage a caseload of family law cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Document Preparation: Drafting, reviewing and filing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and orders.
- Negotiation and Mediation: Engaging in negotiation and mediation to resolve disputes amicably and avoid litigation where possible.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and law enforcement, to support clients’ needs.
- Research: Conducting thorough legal research to support case strategies and stay updated on changes in family law.
- Client Communication: Maintaining regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and developments.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and completion of the Legal Practice Course (LPC).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in family law.
- Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive and emotionally charged situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Licensing: Must be a licensed solicitor in good standing with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
