Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, documentation, and ratification of architecture patterns, including patterns for event-driven architecture, bulk data movement, cloud-native services, and secure data handling.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for architecture patterns and coach development teams in implementing these patterns effectively.
  • Drive the adoption of architecture patterns and best practices across the development teams, ensuring consistency and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Participate in and lead architecture communities of practice to foster knowledge-sharing and innovation within the organisation.
  • Stay updated on the latest architecture and technology trends relevant to financial services, such as cloud computing, data security, AI, and distributed systems.
Essential Skills
  • 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems design, or enterprise architecture, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Deep understanding of architecture patterns, with the ability to balance trade-offs between scalability, performance, security, and cost.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex architectural ideas to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a track record of innovative solution design in complex environments.
  • Proficiency and knowledge in a programming language of your choice.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are a big plus.
