The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Sonar Technical Lead?

• Ensure the technical integrity of Sonobuoy products from development through to in-service support.
• Provide technical direction and leadership across Sonobuoy project teams, including leading design reviews.
• Work closely with the Sonobuoys Chief Engineer, Project Manager, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Represent the company in customer meetings, providing expert technical input and ensuring customer requirements are met.
• Oversee the development of Sonobuoy systems across Technology Readiness Levels, ensuring all technical aspects are thoroughly vetted and integrated.

What are we looking for in our next Sonar Technical Lead?

• Strong understanding of Sonar Systems design, including deployment, communications, and safety considerations.
• Experience in one or more of the following engineering disciplines: Systems, Electronics, Mechanical, or Software, with a good understanding of the others.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
• Prior experience in defence or aerospace sectors.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
