Sonographer (Band 7)

- Salary: £44 per hour Band 7 (NHS Pay Scale)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Sonographer to join our busy and friendly team. This role is ideal for a well-motivated individual who holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent and is HCPC registered.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Perform general medical, obstetrics, and gynaecology ultrasound including early pregnancy assessments.
- Conduct specialist scans including MSK, neonatal hips and heads, head and neck, and contrast-enhanced ultrasound.
- Report on all personal work and participate in the training of student sonographers.
- Travel between Mansfield Community and Newark Hospitals as required.
- Actively engage in the creation and development of a Community Diagnostic Centre at the Mansfield Community Hospital site.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Essential:
- DCR or BSc (Hons) in Radiography.
- DMU or Postgraduate qualification in ultrasound at M level.
- Evidence of further study.
- HCPC registered.
- Ability to report on own scans.
- Supervisory experience.
- Previous NHS experience.
- Desirable:
- Specialist expertise in ultrasound, supported by practical experience.
- Teaching skills.
- Counselling course completion.
