Your Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to help students access the curriculum.
  • Encouraging positive behavior and fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Assisting with personal care, sensory support, and therapy sessions where required.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet individual needs.
  • Helping students build confidence, resilience, and independence in their learning.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience with children in an educational, care, or SEND setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of SEND and strategies to support students with additional needs is important.
  • A positive, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children.
  • The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff.
  • An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
