Day-to-Day of the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide individualised support and care to pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and dyslexia.
  • Collaborate with a team of dedicated educators to implement tailored educational plans that enhance learning outcomes.
  • Engage with children in a way that makes learning fun and accessible, while fostering a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of pupils, adapting strategies to meet their evolving needs.
  • Act as a positive role model, inspiring children to achieve their full potential.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role with transferable skills.
  • A confident, proactive approach to supporting children with special needs.
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies.
