Milk Education is looking for dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work with a variety of primary schools in Haringey, North London. If you have experience supporting children with additional needs and are committed to providing an inclusive learning environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) on a 1:1 and group basis.
  • Assist with the delivery of tailored educational programs and interventions.
  • Help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • Monitor student progress and help track individual development plans.
  • Provide personal care where necessary and ensure the well-being of students.
  • Support teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring children with SEN are fully included.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • A compassionate and patient approach with the ability to adapt to individual learning needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and creating positive educational experiences.
  • Experience with behavioral management strategies and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or SEN-related qualification) is desirable, but not essential.
