Your Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs, including dysphagia.
  • Develop and implement personalised intervention plans, collaborating with educators, healthcare professionals, and families.
  • Lead service improvements for children with complex needs, including AAC and literacy development.
  • Provide specialist training and input for curriculum planning in schools and other settings.
  • Supervise less experienced therapists and assistants, fostering professional growth within the team.
  • Liaise with external services such as Southampton Hospital and the ACE Centre to ensure holistic care.
What We're Looking For
  • A recognised degree or postgraduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with the Health Professions Council.
  • Expertise in paediatric dysphagia, AAC, and literacy development.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • A minimum of four years post-qualification experience, with a proven track record in paediatric therapy.
