SQL Analyst

Northampton – On-site – up to £40k

Our client in the Northampton area are currently looking for an SQL Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the companies IT systems. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases to support various projects. You’ll collaborate closely with other teams to ensure the highest quality and functionality of the systems we create.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases for diverse projects.
• Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support business needs.
• Perform data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet business expectations.
• Conduct database tuning, indexing, and overall housekeeping.
• Surface data and key insights to the business through reporting tools like SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.
• Document and report progress on your work and key outcomes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in collaboration with IT team members.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL) and relational database management systems.
• Solid experience working with data warehouses and data lakes.
• Familiarity with BI self-service tools, particularly Power BI and SSRS, is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting ERP systems and understanding their technical architecture.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to manage internal customer expectations.
• Strong track record of delivering both day-to-day IT support and project-based activity.
