Steel Buyer – Hybrid/Eastwood (Nottinghamshire) - £45,000 + BonusChase & Holland are excited to be working with a rapidly growing family run business who are looking to recruit an Steel Buyer to join their team.Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this newly created key role will see you manage and develop the steel purchasing for the business ensuring strong relationships with suppliers and a focus on driving efficiencies and costs. The business has recently moved to brand new premises is going through a strong period of growth and it’s a very exciting time to join!In Return You’ll Receive:

Steel Buyer Responsibilities:

• Initiate and manage tendering activities
• Negotiate with suppliers regarding all commercial conditions
• Qualify BOM’s / sourcing requests in collaboration with the business
• Negotiate and implement agreements with suppliers
• Perform spend analysis and develop sourcing strategies
• Challenge stakeholders professionally where required
• Obtain quotations from existing and new potential new suppliers
• Maintain master data on systems
• Process new supplier / existing supplier change requests
• Report Supply Chain disruptions
• Monitor supplier performance
• Propose and implement improvements across the Supply Chain

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pmRequired Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a strategic procurement role (essential)
• Experienced and knowledgeable in buying Steel (essential)
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Skilled negotiator
• Strong stakeholder management
