STEM Teacher - MLK Search : Job Details

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000

MLK Education Search is excited to support this south London based Alternative Provision on it's search for the next STEM Teacher.

My client, a high-achieving Independent Alternative Provision with sports specialism, is looking for an experienced STEM Teacher to drive the organisation through a period of rapid and continuous growth. The role will be highly rewarding, allowing you the autonomy to work with a small and committed staff team to help students learn to flourish in an environment that prides itself on the highest standards for all.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes on mathematics, science and technology, following the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work
• Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
• Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
• Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
• Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests

Experience and Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status
• Degree
• Successful teaching experience of Pathway 1 to 3, age group 11 -16
