Stores Operative - Cheltenham

Our client, a leading organisation in the manufacturing field, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual for the position of Stores Operative. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who thrive in a dynamic environment and are looking to contribute to a busy team.

-Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 & Friday's: 08:00 - 13:00

-Hourly Pay rate: £12.50-£13.50 p/h depending on experience

-Location: Cheltenham, outskirts of the city center (on-site parking is available)

-Duration: On-going temporary to cover long-term sickness

Candidates must possess a current Reach FLT licence, as it is essential for carrying out various tasks effectively.

• Picking customer orders using a handheld scanner.
• Packing, labelling, and dispatching items accurately.
• Palletising and wrapping goods for transport.
• Loading and unloading containers with care.
• Booking in incoming deliveries to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Locating stock and executing stock control duties as needed.

Attention to detail is paramount in this role, given that product codes may be very similar and prone to mix-ups. The right candidate will demonstrate proficiency with IT systems, enabling them to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.

• A valid Reach FLT license is required.
• Proven experience in a similar role or environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle stock responsibly.
• Competence with IT and inventory management systems.
• A proactive approach to teamwork and problem-solving.
