Strategic Accountant - Castlefield Recruitment : Job Details

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority to recruit an Interim Strategic Accountant on an initial 3-6-month interim basis

Duties include;

• Supporting the Head of Finance in managing the Council's MTFS
• Ensuring financial systems are being effectively managed
• Review and update financial planning processes
• Responsible for the 2025/2026 budget preparation and setting
• Meeting budget managers

The person;

• Qualified
• Local government finance experience
• Highly proficient on accounting systems and spreadsheets
• Can work on own initiative
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with senior management and stakeholders
