Our ClientA small, unique housing association based in Central London, is seeking an experienced finance professional to join their team in a strategic leadership role. As a socially-conscious organisation committed to providing quality housing solutions, they are looking for someone to drive financial excellence and support their mission.The Role
- Lead the delivery of comprehensive financial services, including treasury management, business partnering, development accounting, and capital accounting
- Spearhead financial strategy development, including regular reviews of the business model and identification of funding options
- Oversee leasehold management from a financial perspective, ensuring compliance with lease obligations and managing relationships with freeholders
- Drive business improvement through insightful financial reporting and analysis, using tools like Power BI to develop performance reports
- Ensure regulatory compliance and manage key stakeholder relationships, including with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies
- Supervise, mentor, and inspire staff, driving high standards of performance and professional development.
The Successful Candidate
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA) with varied experience
- Experience working in small companies, preferrably housing association related
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively
- Fantastic inter personally, being able to liaise with senior and junior stakeholders with ease.
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to work under their own initiative and manage multiple priorities
