We are searching for a meticulous and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to oversee the quality of goods and services procured for our industrial and manufacturing needs in Birkenhead. The engineer will be involved in monitoring supplier performance, conducting supplier audits, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Description

• Developing and implementing supplier quality procedures and specifications.
• Performing regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Assessing supplier performance and conducting necessary improvements.
• Overseeing testing of all industrial and manufacturing materials and products to ensure quality standards.
• Investigating causes of quality problems and proposing solutions.
• Working with procurement staff to establish supplier quality requirements.
• Collaborating with Engineering & Manufacturing teams to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for quality issues and corrective actions.

Profile

A successful Supplier Quality Engineer should have:

• An engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in quality assurance within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in conducting audits and managing supplier relationships.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
