Location: Central London/WFH (2-3 days in the office per week)

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (9-5.30pm)

Supply Chain Manager (Electronics) - What You'll be Doing Each Day:

At this innovative carbon reduction business, you can be part of a team developing heat network metering and billing technology that is radically reducing carbon emissions and making energy systems more transparent and lower cost. Moving to low-carbon heat is the biggest challenge in the transition to a net zero emissions future. Their technology helps to accelerate this transition. They capture data, provide analytics and enable remote configuration of the heating systems they monitor. The technology changes the future of heat for the better. The opportunity as the Supply Chain Manager, you'll oversee and manage every stage of the production flow, from purchasing the raw materials, sourcing and managing CEM manufacturers to the delivery of the final product.

  • Product development: Lead component selection, manage prototypes, and oversee product testing. Ensure a smooth transition from Engineering to Supply Chain.
  • Vendor selection and supplier management: Oversee supplier selection and maintain robust relationships. Lead negotiations for long-term agreements and conduct annual reviews.
  • Procurement: Manage the procurement of components and manufacturing, ensuring specifications and financial guidelines are met.
  • Manufacturing oversight: Ensure sufficient supply of products at target costs and oversee manufacturing quality.
  • Quality control and fault management: Manage product quality, handle returns and faults, and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.
  • Logistics and invoicing: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products, manage invoicing, and maintain hardware records.
  • Stock and risk management: Optimize stock levels, manage inventory, and maintain a supply chain risk framework.
  • Process improvement and workshop oversight: Enhance procedures, manage workshop operations, and participate in the Health & Safety committee.
  • Performance metrics: Set and review supply chain KPIs, aligning them with business objectives and environmental goals.

Supply Chain Manager (Electronics) - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience in electronics
  • APICS/CIPS Certified Supply Chain Professional or equivalent
  • Complete accountability for running and improving an SC team.
  • Background in end-to-end supply chain management including procurement, manufacturing, planning and logistics.
  • Experience of interacting at the most senior level.
  • Hands on with tasks.
  • Risk management and resolution.
  • Decisive.
  • Solutions focussed, ability to deliver through others
  • Quality control
  • Testing
  • Dealing with faults.
  • KPI reporting.
  • Automate processes.
  • Worked with IOT tech (including wireless data networks and wired mbus)
  • Manufacturing knowledge and experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experienced with ISO 9001 (quality management); and 14001 (environmental management)
