Lead the Way Care Services is dedicated to providing exceptional support and guidance to looked after children and young people. We strive to create a safe, nurturing environment that fosters growth, independence, and resilience. Our mission is to empower young people aged 12-18 to thrive and reach their full potential.

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers and Residential Carers to join our team. You will play a vital role in supporting 16-18 year old looked after children in supported accommodation, as well as providing care for 12-17 year old children in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people in our care.

- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, college applications, and household tasks.

• Preparing young people with the tools to be able to live independently
• Constructing support plans

- Create a positive and engaging environment that encourages personal development and independence.

- Help children and young people set and achieve personal goals.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to care plans and incidents.

- Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the young people.

- Participate in fun and engaging activities that promote social skills and teamwork.

Qualifications:

- Experience working with children and young people, particularly those in care, is highly desirable.

- A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care or Childcare is preferred but not essential.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting young people.

- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle may be required.
