Our client is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker for a service based in Kidderminster. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health conditions and learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support with administering medication.
- Supporting individuals with maintaining their home and tenancy, ensuring the environment is safe.
- Planning and organising stimulating activities to promote social engagement and personal development.
- Offering support with finance management, including budgeting and bill payments.
- Assisting individuals with daily activities such as personal care, meal planning, and household chores.
- Implementing sensory diets as part of individualised care plans.
- Effectively managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour.
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health conditions and learning disabilities.
- Full UK driving license.
- Ability to work flexibly on a rota basis covering a combination of early shifts (7am to 3pm) and late shifts (3pm to 10pm).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach towards supporting individuals with diverse needs.
