Victory Housing is a Not for Profit organisation that provides accommodation and support for vulnerable clients in the community.
?Our aim is to deliver accommodation and support service to meet the needs of the homeless, especially those fleeing domestic violence.
We are looking for Support Workers with a passion for supporting others and uplifting lives. A strong commitment to supporting people and an ability to maintain a positive attitude. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a dedication to helping people regain their independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with individuals you support to plan and implement personalised care and support programs. These programs should address their overall needs, enhance their independence, and promote active community participation, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Work closely with individuals, their families, advocates, and professional colleagues to foster open communication and informed decision-making. Ensure the services provided are well-coordinated and tailored to meet individual requirements.
Assist individuals in managing personal finances, securing benefit entitlements, and maintaining License agreements. Support their journey toward financial stability and long-term housing security.
Identify and report potential risks promptly. Take appropriate actions to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals, colleagues, and visitors, in alignment with service contracts and organisational standards.
Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills by attending mandatory training sessions and participating in relevant professional development activities.
Assist in identifying and addressing additional support needs of individuals to ensure comprehensive care.
Deliver consistently high-quality support, promoting community inclusion and meaningful participation at all times.
Actively uphold and implement Victory Housing's policies and procedures in all aspects of service delivery.
Ensure all staff members are familiar with and actively implementing company policies, including fire safety and health and safety protocols.
Perform all duties in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation to maintain a safe working environment.
Follow the Victory Housing’s practice guidelines, systems, and procedures as outlined in the staff handbook and other quality documents.
Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, such as the Valuing People White Paper and the Care Standards Act, in all professional practices.
Undertake other duties relevant to the role as required to support the organisation’s objectives and service standards.
