You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK. It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. Responsibilities Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal carePerform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothesAssist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individualsAssistance and support to attend medical appointmentsObserve, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staffEncouragement to participate in social and recreational activities 

Cotswold Lodge is located in New Romney, in Kent. It offers residential support for eight men with a primary learning disability diagnosis. We are located on a private estate, near the seafront of a market town.Our team are dedicated to ensuring that all the people we care for have a voice that is heard and that they receive the support, encouragement and empowerment to live the lives that they choose.

DisclosureAll roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
