Residents are encouraged to participate in daily life, from contributing to household tasks to sharing their input on home decisions.What you’ll do:You’ll be joining our committed team, working to provide our residents with personalised, high-quality support. Your day-to-day tasks will vary, but will include:- Delivering high-quality personal care, ensuring dignity and respect are always maintained.- Assisting residents in developing independence and achieving their goals.- Creating engaging activities and supporting participation.- Contributing to a positive and supportive home environment.- Working as a team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.Who we’re looking for:- A reliable and dedicated team-player, able to work collaboratively to provide high-quality care to our residents.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (non-verbal communication skills such as Makaton, BSL or PECS would be an advantage, but not essential).- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.- Flexible and adaptable, responsive to changing needs.- An understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding and risk assessments.- Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities in a residential home setting would be advantageous, however not essential.- You must be a driver to be considered, as we need staff to support our residents on their outings (in our company vehicles).We understand that working in care can be demanding. To help you maintain a healthy work-life balance, we offer a 4-week fixed shift pattern at Sesame.
