• Design systems that meet the customer's requirements ensuring that selected parts are suitable for the life of the system in the environment they will be used.
• Maintain regular contact with the customer and complete customer facing design reviews and testing as required.
• Create test documentation and complete customer FAT. Travel to site to complete set to work with the customer.
• Work with the ILS engineer to produce through life support documentation for internal and external use and liaise with customer support & documentation teams to ensure that suitable training materials are produced.
• Consultancy with external suppliers when subcontracting design and build.
• Complete on site work including surveys, commissioning and testing

Systems Engineer Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Knowledge of through-life support process
• Creation of and completion of factory acceptance testing
• Designing and building medium to large scale systems
• Taking a system from bid stage all the way through to on site STW
• A background/good knowledge of C&I (controls and instrumentation), PLC, automation, process, plant machinery, electro-mechanical systems etc
