Key Responsibilities
As an EducationalSystems Training Engineer, your duties will include:
- Complying with the defined responsibilities of a Course Manager/Lead Tutor (once trained).
- Delivering and assessing candidates on CETOP and company competency-based programmes.
- Collaborating with Systems Training Engineers to develop company practical facilities in Centres 1 and 3.
- Assisting in the development of new courses, presentations, and lab-based exercises.
- Ensuring candidates understand and apply safe working procedures in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Delivering courses as outlined in point 4 and parts of Stage 2 courses, leveraging your expertise.
- Ensuring equipment and resources are available, maintained, and ready for course delivery, working closely with the Technician and Resources Manager.
- Maintaining accurate financial records (if applicable to your role).
- Managing course-related control documentation in compliance with company Procedures and QMS.
- Regularly reviewing and updating course content and materials, ensuring they remain current.
- Identifying new business opportunities with the Managing Director and Deputy Director.
- Meeting personal development objectives, including achieving CETOP Level 1, 2, and 3 qualifications and successfully delivering a range of courses, both on-site and off-site.
- Flexibly adapting to a range of working hours to meet business needs.
- Participating in the management and development of practical resources and training facilities, ensuring risk assessments are conducted.
- Identifying and pursuing personal training needs in alignment with the company Skills/Knowledge Matrix.
- Engaging with Advisory Member Companies as required.
- Ensuring compliance with all company Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
- Adhering to company Health and Safety policies, Codes of Ethics, and Professional Conduct.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate with:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance and management of mobile systems involving hydraulics and control.
- Ability to teach and nurture the next generation of text engineers
- Practical expertise in planning, installation, commissioning, testing, fault diagnosis, and rectification.
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of current supply chains.
- Qualifications such as HNC/HND or CETOP Level 3 Competence-Based (Mobile Hydraulics) preferred.
- A proactive attitude, a commitment to continuous learning, and a passion for inspiring others.
