Job Title: Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Stockport, SK8 Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Type of Work: Full-time, Long-term Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm Rate of Pay: GBP95+ per day (based on experience) About the Role: Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) for a position in Stockport (SK8 area). The role involves providing 1:1 support and group assistance for SEN children, helping them achieve their learning goals in a nurturing and inclusive setting. Responsibilities: Work closely with SEN students in a primary setting, supporting their educational and social development. Manage challenging behaviours and assist students with Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. Provide both in-class support and engage students in activities outside the classroom to help them focus and regulate. Implement tailored strategies to meet individual student needs, ensuring they can thrive in their learning environment. Qualifications and Experience: Required: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher. Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting, with a strong understanding of behaviour management techniques. Skills: Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to meeting the needs of SEN students. Additional Training: Safeguarding training within the last year is desirable (training can also be provided). Possess an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate on the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
