What you'll be doing

Lead the performance and talent approach, sourcing, designing, and delivering talent and early careers interventions in line with organisational capability priorities.

* Preparing for annual talent review - building or enhancing materials, calibration packs, tools, engaging and preparing our HR teams etc.

* Preparing the outputs of the completed calibrations and talent review for executive and board review, including working with the functional lead to draft board materials, memos and papers

* Delivering the resulting group wide action plan from talent reviews throughout the year, which can be varied and include new initiatives as well as leading current/established ones

* Supporting the functional lead in managing our focus list (high potential leaders) engaging directly with them about their development

* Managing Cranfield, our executive education provider, and the programme that we have c20 leaders on a rolling basis, liaising with leaders regularly and coordinating the inhouse aspects of the programme

* Leading our Coaching & Mentoring programme, the technology platform and developing and growing the coaching pool, including delivering and facilitating a CPD annual calendar for them

* Supporting our work on strategic workforce planning, and associated talent led activities

* Leading bespoke mentoring initiatives within the functions e., g operations mentoring

* Overseeing all development centre programmes, specifically taking a personal lead on those for critical roles, e.g. senior/functional leader roles and the resulting actions for individuals/drafting feedback reports, and enabling development

* Career management, developing our existing tools and resources to help people manage their career

* Managing the team of 5 people, ensuring processes, procedures and SOP's are in place for all our talent work processes

* Supporting our TD&I functional leader in all areas of talent, and more broadly enabling our team, and acting as deputy where required

What we're looking for

* Graduate calibre and CIPD qualified (MCIPD/FCIPD)

* Demonstrable track record of leading talent and succession planning in a large or complex/multi-site business

* Demonstrable success in building credibility with senior leaders in an FMCG or private label business

* Excellent understanding of best practice and innovation in performance, talent, and career management

* Evidenced consulting skills, able to understand the root causes and identify the problem before proposing the options/solutions

* Project management and coordination experience

* Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills to multiple layered audiences

* Proficient in the use of raw data to draw insight and effect change

* Great facilitation and delivery skills

* Experience of coaching people/active listener and operating as a mentor
