Role Responsibilities

• Handling complex tax matters and providing clear, concise advice to clients
• Working directly with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored tax solutions
• Identifying areas where more detailed tax advice is needed and coordinating with internal specialists
• Managing and navigating HMRC enquiries on behalf of clients
• Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance and timely delivery of services
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Overseeing billing and debt collection for your client portfolio
• Participating in internal tax technical training sessions to maintain and enhance your skills
• Collaborating with internal teams such as Accounts, Business Management, and Payroll to ensure cohesive service delivery

Candidate Requirements

• CTA or equivalent professional qualification (a private client background would be an advantage but not essential)
• Proven experience in managing self-assessment tax returns and reviewing complex tax issues
• Ability to conduct technical tax research and communicate complex concepts clearly to clients
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads, time charges, and budgets
• Committed to maintaining and updating technical knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work in a team and support junior members
• Ability to work productively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
