Tax Manager - Robert Half : Job Details

Robert Half has exclusively partnered with a fast-growing global business based in the Cardiff area to recruit a Tax Manager. This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to join an international organisation with both UK and global entities, focused on supporting business growth. The Tax Manager will oversee a range of UK and international tax responsibilities, offering the chance to make a significant impact on the company's tax strategy and compliance.

Job Title: Tax ManagerLocation: North CardiffSalary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annumEmployment Type: Full-Time, PermanentWorking Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days on-site, 1 day from home)

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage a broad scope of tax activities, including but not limited to:

• UK and International Tax Compliance: Overseeing corporation tax filings, R&D claims, and patent box applications.
• HMRC Liaison: Managing communication with HMRC to ensure compliance and address any inquiries.
• Tax Strategy and Planning: Assisting with tax planning initiatives to optimise tax positions across jurisdictions.
• Month-End Support: Working with the finance team on month-end close processes and supporting the preparation of management accounts.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Contributing to special projects to support the broader finance and tax functions as needed.

Requirements

• Professional tax or accounting qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA)
• Extensive experience in both UK and international tax compliance and strategy
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach
• Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with HMRC and internal stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
