Role Responsibilities

• Providing specialist VAT advisory services to businesses across a range of sectors
• Advising on complex VAT issues, including international VAT, partial exemption, and property-related VAT matters
• Working closely with clients to identify VAT risks and planning opportunities
• Assisting with VAT implications for corporate transactions, restructuring, and compliance reviews
• Managing HMRC interactions, including dispute resolution and VAT queries
• Supporting internal teams with VAT expertise, offering guidance and technical support
• Staying up to date with UK and international VAT legislation, ensuring clients remain compliant

Candidate Requirements

• CTA, ACA, ACCA, or ATT qualified, with strong VAT advisory experience
• Experience working in VAT advisory roles within a practice or specialist VAT team
• Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT legislation and international VAT matters
• Ability to translate complex VAT regulations into clear, practical advice for clients
• Excellent client relationship skills, with a commercial mindset
• Experience managing projects and working autonomously
• A team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and mentoring junior staff
