• Managing a varied portfolio of tax clients, ensuring compliance and providing high-quality tax advice
• Reviewing corporate, personal, and trust tax returns, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Delivering proactive tax planning solutions tailored to clients’ needs across different tax areas
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, advising on tax-related matters and identifying opportunities for additional services
• Mentoring and training junior staff, helping them develop their technical expertise and confidence
• Researching and preparing advisory reports on various tax matters
• Working closely with senior management and partners to improve internal processes and support the firm’s growth
• Staying up to date with changes in tax legislation and advising clients on implications and opportunities

• CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
• At least four years’ post-qualification experience in tax within an accountancy firm
• Broad tax knowledge, covering corporate, personal, and trust tax, with exposure to VAT and employment tax being beneficial
• Strong client management and advisory skills, with the ability to explain tax issues clearly and confidently
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently
• A commercial mindset, with the ability to identify tax planning opportunities and additional services for clients
• Experience in mentoring, training, or managing junior staff
• Exposure to tax advisory work (desirable but not essential)
