We are delighted to be representing a contemporary international accountancy firm in their search for an Tax Senior in Poole to join their modern team and support the Tax Manager with the provision of audit for a portfolio of exciting clients.

This opportunity will suit someone who is CTA or ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified, with tax experience within an accountancy practice. You will be able to effectively communicate technical matters in an easy-to-understand way for clients and an elevated level of attention to detail will also be essential for this role.

You’ll likely be working already as a Semi Senior looking for an exciting new challenge. Ideally, you’ll have experience of supporting and mentoring junior members of the team. You’ll be ready to support the managers in creating a positive working environment, whilst ensuring the highest quality service is delivered. You’ll be able to accept autonomous responsibility to oversee projects to completion.

Job Purpose

• Prepare and review tax computations.
• Provide tax advisory services.
• Support the Tax Managers to coach trainees and support with their learning and development.
• Monitor client deadlines and ensure these are met.
• Monitor workflow of the team.
• Identify and assess risk.
• Able to work alongside and part of the senior management team and other sectors of the firm and support with company growth.
• Ability to identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients.
• Confident in networking to promote the department.
• Playing an integral part in the efficiency of the audit team and championing the firm’s values within the team.
• Provide professional and personable client-facing communication skills.

The Successful Applicant

• ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified or a finalist with audit experience within practice
• Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
• Technically efficient in both audit and accounting
• A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team
• Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
• Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
