We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to lead our personal tax services. This role is ideal for a seasoned tax professional who is adept at managing client relationships and providing expert advice on personal tax matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the personal tax planning and compliance services, ensuring high-quality delivery that aligns with our firm’s standards and client expectations.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of personal tax services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored tax advice and solutions.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of personal tax returns and computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation.
  • Identify opportunities for tax planning and advise clients on how to maximise tax efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations, and communicate relevant updates to both clients and team members.
  • Participate in business development activities, including seminars and networking events, to promote the firm’s tax services and attract new clients.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated services that meet the broader financial needs of clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified tax professional (CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with extensive experience in personal tax.
  • Proven track record of managing a tax department or team.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
