Primary teacher - SEND school

SEND school require a primary teacher for April 2025 - 1 year contract initially

April 2025 start date - 1 year contract

Primary age special school which caters for children experiencing communication and interaction difficulties, within a moderate learning difficulty/mild learning disability range. It is expected that the vast majority of our pupils have a diagnosis of ASD alongside other difficulties such as global delay, ADHD and Dyspraxia.

The school offers these children a smaller group setting with plenty of space, with a specialised curriculum and teaching methods to address their needs and make a positive learning experience.

The school has a large forest school on site, which children learn in on a weekly basis

The vacancy

· Primary trained or SEND trained teacher for a key stage 2 class

· Non-verbal ASD children

· Maternity cover for 12 months April 2025 start

· Small class sizes 6-8 students with 3-4 teaching assistants in each class

· Pay to teacher scale point

· SEND allowance

The person

· Will hold QTS or equivalent

· Relocation bonus

· Primary curriculum knowledge and preferable experience

· Able to commit 5 days a week for the duration of the contract
