Teacher of Design and Technology (Food and Textiles)

Full time, permanent, term time only - Main Scale / UPS / ECT

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher of Design and Technology to inspire and enthuse students and to further strengthen the achievement and progress of students. The successful applicant would predominantly teach Food, but also have the expectation of delivering Textiles with the possibility of some other Design Technology areas.

We are a successful school with a large Sixth Form located near Willenhall, with easy access to the M6 motorway network. We welcome and encourage informal visits.The successful candidate should:

• Be a passionate teacher with strong subject knowledge in Food Technology and Textiles.
• Have the ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Have consistently good or outstanding classroom practice and positive academic outcomes for all students.
• Have a commitment to fostering creativity and contributing to departmental and whole-school improvement plans.
• Hold high expectations of self and students, with the ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities.
• Possess strong communication and teamwork skills, with flexibility and a collaborative approach.
• Have a willingness to contribute fully to the life of the school, including being a supportive Form Tutor and engaging in extra-curricular activities.
