Location: Hull 

Salary: £125 - £150 per day 

Start Date: September 2024 

Contract Type: Part time / Full time 

GSL education is looking for a qualified Teacher of English to join our supportive and friendly school community in Hull in September 2024. Job Summary:

As a Teacher of English, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. The successful Teacher of English will create an engaging learning environment that promotes student achievement and enthusiasm for the subject. You will be expected to plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all students, ensuring they reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Delivering engaging and effective English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.

- Planning and preparing lessons that meet the requirements of the national curriculum.

- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback.

- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

- Managing classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies.

- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

- Participating in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

- Must have a PGCE, QTS, or a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.

- Strong subject knowledge in English.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to inspire and motivate students.

- Effective classroom management skills.

- Commitment to continuous professional development.

- ECTs are welcome to apply.
