As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will stretch far more than assisting with teaching. You will be supporting students aged 11 - 19 with Severe, Complex and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, and ASD. These SEN Teaching Assistant roles are suitable for someone with SEN experience, particularly PMLD & SLD, however, the school are also interested in Graduates with a keen interest in SEN, Teaching and Child-Psychology. This SEN school is keen to take on graduate teaching assistants and provide them with the experience of leading a class, perfect for aspiring teachers, therapists, or psychologists. For those who prefer a career as a teaching assistant, the school also offer opportunities to become a TA2 where you are responsible for supporting a specialist in a classroom setting.
