Tradewind is looking for a CACHE Level 3 SEN Learning Support Assistant to join an inclusive primary school located in the heart of Croydon. The candidate will be committed to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment. Our dedicated team of educators is passionate about nurturing the potential of every child, with a particular focus on those with special educational needs (SEN) within a mainstream primary school.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate CACHE Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team full-time starting ASAP. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working with SEN children and a genuine commitment to supporting their educational and emotional development.

• Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, ensuring they are fully included in all classroom activities.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities that meet the individual needs of SEN students.
• Monitor and record progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to manage and support students' behaviour and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff members to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
• Support students in developing social skills and independence both inside and outside the classroom.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN education.

• CACHE Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Education.
• Proven experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by SEN students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
