Teaching Assistant

We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join various Primary mainstream and SEND schools across Medway. These roles offer both short-term and long-term opportunities, ideal for candidates who have experience in classroom settings and one-to-one support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering educational activities and lessons.
- Work one-on-one with students with SEND, ensuring they receive tailored support and assistance.
- Assist in creating a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
- Help prepare classroom materials and set up equipment necessary for daily activities.
- Monitor and support the progress of students, both academically and socially.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents when necessary.
- Adhere to school policies and guidelines, including health and safety measures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
- Experience working one-on-one with SEND students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A proactive and compassionate approach to student learning and well-being.
- Must possess a DBS certificate or be willing to undergo a DBS check.
