SEN Teaching Assistant - Supporting a Pupil with Autism in Haringey

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism? A fantastic primary school in Haringey is seeking a proactive and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a young boy who requires additional support. This role, starting in January 2025, is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing behaviour and building positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism, focusing on emotional regulation and behaviour management.
• Use creative and effective strategies to support learning and social development.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to implement tailored learning plans.
• Approach challenging situations with patience, confidence, and professionalism.

Teaching Assistant - The Ideal Candidate:

• A skilled Teaching Assistant with experience in SEN, particularly Autism support.
• Confident and resilient, with the ability to manage behavioural outbursts calmly.
• A team player who can adapt quickly to the pupil's needs and school environment.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the update service or is willing to process one through Reeson Education.
