Job Description :

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive team, in an all-through SEN school providing education for students with ASD.

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students across all age groups, supporting them in their academic and social development. You will assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons, provide one-to-one support where necessary, and help create a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with ASD.
  • You will need to be willing to carry out personal care
  • Assist with the delivery of individual learning plans and differentiated activities.
  • Support students in their social and emotional development.
  • Help with the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
  • Encourage positive behavior and promote a calm, supportive atmosphere.
  • Liaise with teachers and other support staff to monitor progress and contribute to regular assessments.
  • Ensure the well-being and safety of students at all times.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience working with students with ASD or other special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to supporting the development and inclusion of every student.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA qualification or experience in an SEN setting) are a plus, but not essential.
  • A positive and flexible approach to supporting students in both academic and social settings.
  • It is preferable if you are able to drive due to the schools location
