Teaching Assistant – BSL – Barking and Dagenham

Are you a experienced Teaching Assistant that is fluent in British Sign Language

Do you have long-term goals within Education and would like to work in a supportive environment

You could be working within a fantastic school in Barking. The school is looking for a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Deaf student.

This role is perfect for any Graduates looking to gain experience working alongside ASD and Mental Health and who are looking to go onto a career within Education.

Job Description

• Long-term and permanent contracts available.
• £95-100 per day (PAYE options available).
• Working with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and PTSD.
• Based in Barking
• ASAP Start

Person Specification

• Recent Graduate, school is open to all disciplines.
• Possessing qualifications in BSL Level 3/ Equivalent
• Calm, empathetic approach to challenging behaviour.
• Long-term aspirations within education or a psychology field.
• Willing to gain a Fully Enhanced DBS if not already in possession of one.
• Able to work well within a team.
