Job Description - Teaching Assistant - LSA - Croydon
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant, with a specific focus on supporting children with additional needs. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young learners and is looking to develop a career in Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities -Teaching Assistant - LSA
- Work closely with classroom teachers to support students with additional needs, including those with learning difficulties, behavioural challenges, or physical disabilities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to help students access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting resources to meet the specific needs of students.
- Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Support students during breaks, lunchtimes, and other school activities to ensure their safety and inclusion.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the well-being and self-esteem of all students.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events, contributing to the overall development of the school's SEN provision.
- Ability to commute to Croydon
