Early Years Teaching Assistant - Long Term Role

Are you a teaching assistant based in Hackney looking for a new role to start September?

Tempest Education are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to join a friendly primary school in the heart of Hackney.

Teaching Assistant - The Primary School:

This primary school is a two-form entry primary school that values are a central part of our teaching philosophy and how we treat each other's. As a teaching assistant, you must have the ability to work as an effective team member, be well organised and can communicate with children and adults in a constructive and effective way. This primary school are recruiting for an Early year teaching assistant.

Your main responsibility as a general teaching assistant will include working alongside the class teacher, nursery leader and a SEN TA in a setting for 24 children, your role will be to run small intervention groups and support the class.

Having suitable primary school experience will help to further support your application. However, experience with SEN is highly considered. This position is perfect for someone who is pro-active, enthusiastic and can use their initiative when needed.

The successful Teaching Assistant must have:

• Experience working within a primary school
• Experience of working with or caring for children
• Strong desire to work with children with SEN
• Be committed to promoting high standards in learning
• A clear DBS

Main Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

• Working alongside the class teacher
• Working with small groups of children
• Supporting children on a 1:1 basis
• Helping children with their English and Maths
• Be enthusiastic and motivated

Teaching Assistant - Additional information:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:30am-4pm
• £87 - £105 per day
• Long term / permanent contract
• Primary School in Hackney
• Early Years Teaching Assistant
