About the School - PRU Teaching Assistant - Northampton, Northamptonshire

This academy school provides education for pupils who are permanently excluded from schools and respond to the educational needs of pupils who would otherwise be attending mainstream or SEN schools. Support is determined by each pupil's particular needs and circumstances and are taught in a small group or given individual tuition.

The staff works closely with parents and carers who together with the pupil are encouraged to be fully involved in any decision-making and provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

About you - PRU Teaching Assistant - Northampton, Northamptonshire

• Experience in UK primary/secondary/SEN/PRU schools
• SEN experience is desirable but not essential
• Good behaviour management and ability to tackle challenging behaviour
• Available full time
• The ability to adapt to the student's needs - every student comes from different backgrounds and have different needs so being transparent is essential!
• Good levels of communication and ability to speak with students, parents, staff, and external agencies.
