Team Leader, non-profit organisation- Property and Housing
Salary: £25,500- £26,000
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday - Friday - 35 hours per week - Flexible with start and finish times

We are proud to be supporting a charity based in BD5 who are looking for someone with managerial/team leader experience to join their friendly business supporting with the Hostel.
You MUST have a full driving license and access to a car as well as be happy for an enhanced DBS to be processed.
Team Leader will oversee the hostel and work alongside all other staff on site in the absence of the Service Manager. You will ensure that hostel staff conduct themselves professionally and appropriately and challenge staff where standards fall below expectations. Reporting any issues to the Service Manager so that this can be addressed in supervision.

What duties will you be doing on daily basis?
- To assist in the induction of new staff and to act as a Peer Mentor.
- To assist in any Quality Assessment reviews/ validation visits and/or meetings.
- To work with Councils Housing Options service supporting vulnerable clients into hostel provision.
- To work with Supported Tenancies team and other services where appropriate.
- To provide a dual function of housing related support and intensive housing management to service users
- To provide and promote practical and emotional support in order to assist service users to move on into independent accommodation.
- To contribute towards the quarterly performance monitoring reports in conjunction with the Service Manager.
- To attend staff meetings and other internal or external meetings as required e.g. scheme meetings, training, etc.
- Act as the teams HR when it comes to absences, sickness, back to work interviews, organising and monitoring the rotas
- Communicating with finance/payroll regarding any issues
- To be responsible and respond to emergencies in a calm and proactive manner, seeking advice and support where necessary and acting on decisions within agreed procedures.
- To be aware of and liaise with a wide range of agencies, both statutory and voluntary and engage where necessary as part of your service delivery to clients.
- Supporting any other departments when the team may be absence
To be considered for this opportunity you will:
- Have previous experience in a managerial role or supporting a team
- Be willing to work flexibly and cover holidays, sickness and work some bank holidays. Covering for colleagues sometimes at short notice
- Experience of working directly with vulnerable people
- Be IT Literate - Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel and CRM systems
