Autism Anglia is a well-established independent charity. We have an exciting opportunity available for Team Leader on a full-time basis. Working from our Residential Services based in Peldon, Colchester.
The successful Team Leader will assist people who are within the autistic spectrum, some with additional Learning Disabilities. Enabling them to maximize their potential and develop life skills across multiple activities.
The Team Leader will work as part of a team to help those in your care to help them achieve their own life plans, through a person-centred approach.
This role is well suited to someone with previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant, or Carer. Caring for Autistic individuals, or those with Learning Disabilities in a healthcare setting.
Autism Anglia offers an extensive induction on the commencement of employment. We are also dedicated to ongoing training and professional development.

Autism Anglia’s Peldon location accommodates individuals within the autistic spectrum, some with additional Learning Disabilities as part of Autism Anglia’s Adult services. Enabling all individuals to participate in various physical activities such as walking, swimming, shopping, and general socialising in the wider community. Including planning and attending person-centred annual holidays and days out.
Support workers at Peldon recognise the aspirations of, and work towards enabling, the people we support and help them to achieve their own life plans and develop life skills, through person-centred planning. This will include being actively involved in empowering them to make individual choices about their everyday living.
