Team Manager - Children's Social Care - CP/CIN - Reed : Job Details

Our client, Shropshire County Council, is seeking an interim Team Manager for children’s social care - are you interested? Or can you refer a friend for £250 if placed?

This is a full-time role lasting 3 months initially.

The role will involve the following:

• Manage team of 6 Social Workers, one Family Support Worker and one Apprentice Social Worker covering the south of Shropshire (Bridgnorth, Ludlow etc).
• Team holds children subject to CIN, CP, PLO and in court proceedings.
• You will case manage children
• Provide monthly supervision for SWs
• Complete dip samples and audits to evidence children’s plans are being progressed
• Performance management
• Ensure clear oversight
• Work as part of management team of 6 TMs within the Case Management and Court Service under the direction of the Service Manager

Requirements of the role:

• Qualified Social Worker
• Fully Social Work England registered
• Must be an experienced Team Manager within children’s social care, ideally with expertise in CP, CIN & court work
