The opportunity:We are seeking an experienced Reinsurance Credit Control professional to join our Reinsurance & Business Accounting department. You'll focus on managing the outwards reinsurance book, ensuring timely receipt and settlement of funds in line with internal targets and contractual terms. Your ultimate goal will be to minimise reinsurance recoveries while keeping accurate records and accounts. You will analyse accounts and reports, working towards team and individual targets, and contributing to the overall success of the department.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing credit control and reinsurance recovery collection.
• Ensuring premiums are settled with brokers and reinsurers.
• Chasing outstanding reinsurance recoveries to meet targets.
• Maintaining detailed reinsurance ledger summaries.
• Analysing reinsurance documents, contracts, slips, and endorsements.
• Liaising directly with brokers and reinsurers outside the London Market Bureau.
• Reconciling LORS and broker statements.
• Providing analysis and generating reports for senior management.
• Upholding data quality standards and resolving issues promptly.
• Participating in ad hoc projects.

Our must-haves:

• Strong insurance knowledge and experience within the London Market.
• Proven credit control experience, ensuring funds are received, reconciled, and allocated on time.
• Ability to interpret and analyse contract language and collection documents for effective reinsurance recovery.
