About Us

Our client, a leading global insurer, is part of one of the world's largest insurance groups.

This role is a 12-month contract, offered on a hybrid basis.

The Role

  • Ensure the Technical Accounting ledgers accurately reflect insurance transactions (via Xchanging and direct) for premiums, claims, and cash balances, ensuring all balances are reconciled and understood.
  • Ensure accurate booking of bordereaux for Delegated business.
  • Build strong working relationships with underwriting, distribution, and claims teams to reduce errors from Xchanging and help improve the pursuit of overdue debtors.
  • Serve as a centre of excellence for the eNora (Policy Administration) system.

Key Accountabilities

  • Administer Xchanging error handling for premiums and claims across all UK-transacted business.
  • Quickly grasp the financial aspects of slips for all classes of business.
  • Review the outstanding EPI pipeline monthly to ensure it's appropriate to hold as a debtor.
  • Allocate cash receipts promptly.
  • Understand the systems landscape, particularly the interface between eNora (Policy Admin) and SAP (General Ledger), and how actions in eNora affect overall financial results.
  • Drive corrective actions where necessary in the booking process to reflect changes in financial outcomes.
  • Ensure all necessary payments are requested promptly and properly documented.
  • Provide dashboards (Xchanging errors and outstanding balances) to underwriters monthly and resolve any queries efficiently.
  • Issue Notices of Cancellation when required, as agreed with underwriters.
  • Administer booking and settlement of any new binder business, ensuring a strong understanding of binder administration.
  • Meet IPT and EEA regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Continuously strive for process improvements and automation.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the London Insurance Market.
  • Xchanging knowledge.
  • Strong computer skills (particularly Excel).
  • Analytical skills and solid financial understanding.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A team player with a proactive mindset.
